Tirumalai Krishnamacharya is known worldwide as the father of modern Yoga. He was a master Yogi with a vast and profound knowledge of all the tools of Yoga, the ways how Yoga can help us reconnect to our higher self as well as the many options in which Yoga as a form of therapy can help us heal physical diseases as well as cure emotional problems and mental imbalances.
Krishnamacharya’s Yoga tradition, represented by the Krishnamacharya Healing and Yoga Foundation (www.khyf.net) emphasizes the concept of self-empowerment and personal expression in the journey of wellbeing, healing, and transformation and is therefore still always taught one-to-one. This is mainly because each of us human beings is uniquely different, and also constantly changing all the time. And no one knows better about us, than ourselves. This becomes a key concept in the understanding and practice of yoga as a uniquely personal process.
Kausthub Desikachar - son of TKV Desikachar and grandson to the modern yoga's father T. Krishnamacharya - is visiting Oslo for the first time, and offering the opportunity to explore these rich teachings.
